Royal Snubs PooDeau

Sorry, one doesn't high five with commoners: Canada's PM is left hanging as he attempts an awkward greeting with a VERY unimpressed Prince George at the start of the Royal tour

  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in Canada with their children, George and Charlotte
  • They landed in Victoria shortly before 4pm local time after travelling on a Canadian Air Force plane
  • The family were greeted by the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his equally fashion forward wife Sophie
  • Prince George was left thoroughly unimpressed when the Canadian leader tried to give him a high-five
  • Prince George stole the show as the Cambridge family arrived in Canada, ignoring waiting dignitaries by waving excitedly at a landing helicopter.
But all eyes were on Princess Charlotte, 16 months, making only her third public appearance as she clung to her mother, Kate, after appearing to have hurt her knee, which was visibly bruised.
But it was George who made the biggest impact, leaving the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau 'hanging' when he offered the young Prince a high-five, only for the Royal to shake his head.
Canada's leading politician took it in good spirits, but could not even convince George to shake his hand as the toddler looked unimpressed at the greeting.
The Duchess of Cambridge was looking elegant in a blue Jenny Packham dress with a Locke and Co hat and sporting the Queen's glittering maple leaf diamond.
The family arrived on a Canadian Air Force plane on time shortly before 4pm local time and were greeted by the Prime Minister and his equally fashion forward wife Sophie.
